SUPPORTING INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES

No matter what you’re going through, you are welcome here.

For more than 30 years, YCAC has supported people across the Hilltops and surrounding areas who are facing domestic and family violence, homelessness, or sudden crisis.

We know reaching out can be hard. That’s why we follow a “no wrong door” approach. If you come to us, we will help you. You don’t need to have the right words, the right paperwork, or the right circumstances. Just reaching out is enough.

What I thought was help to fill out some forms turned into so much more. As my life fell apart around me, the acknowledgement, validation and care given to me by your staff is what helped me take the next step. Being able to acknowledge my situation for what it was- family violence was a big part in my journey. I knew it was but to have it formally acknowledged and
to have Kerri say to me that’s really horrible and no one deserves this, made me do something about it.

I didn’t even know what I needed. You gave me the space to fall apart. You also set me up with so much help. I can not believe how quickly you got security cameras, put in grants and then those vouchers WOW. Just wow. In a moment where it would have been just as easy to stay where I was you helped me push through.

I went to them because I was so very stressed and worried as I didn't know what was going to happen to me with housing and other issues but they were so kind helpful and they showed that they cared, that meant a lot to me, I am grateful for their help support and assistance

They are amazing people who care and have so much empathy and really want to help make a difference wherever possible. Words can not express enough how thankful I will forever be for all the help, talks and encouragement they have given me and my kids.
